At my job, we track union membership. I have proposed in the past to allow members to log in through our website and have the ability to update their personal information such as new address, new phone number or email address.
Allowing users to update their own information on a website is a great idea. However we haven't had the lesson on securing that information or creating a login yet. Maybe next semester.
